University Guide 2023: Queen’s University Belfast

For students hailing from Northern Ireland, an annual fee of £4,530 will be levied. Undergraduate students from England, Scotland, Wales, and the Islands who are studying full-time, will have to pay £9,250 per year. Nationals from the Republic of Ireland who are resident there can pay NI tuition fees and will also be charged £4,530. International students, aside from those from the EU, pay fees that are in line with international rates, which vary from £17,400 to £32,800.

There are various bursaries and scholarships that you can apply for, such as the scholarship worth over £2,500 per year for students from England, Scotland, and Wales who meet the offer conditions. International students may be eligible for scholarships like the International Office Undergraduate Scholarship, where those who are eligible can receive a scholarship of up to £3,000 in their first year. To help with the cost of higher education, Queen’s also offers the Queen’s Bursary, while the Student Support Fund is available for eligible students experiencing financial difficulties. Accommodation at Queen’s comes with a range of prices depending on what you require, ranging from £95 for a twin room to £165 per week for a self-contained studio apartment. All accommodation is self-catering and includes bills, high-speed WiFi, insurance, free gym membership, and 24/7 support for reception, maintenance, Residential Life, and Safety teams. All accommodation sites are within walking distance from campus in Belfast, with 100% of the 3,400 bed spaces owned by Queen’s.
